GOD IN A DOOR KNOB is a journey within. It has taken me years to remember this teaching, received years ago. It’s been said, that life is a journey of remembering what we forget at birth.

Spirit in cased at birth in a material meat suit best suited for physical life on this material plain, or plain of matter.

It appears we must be trained as to the functions of this meat suit, along with all the rules, regulations, do’s and don’ts for living on this material plain. Thus, we soon forget our ethereal self, our knowing of our Spiritual existence. Life than becomes that journey back to the self we left behind.

GOD IN A DOOR KNOB is a step back in time, if time existed. In Spirit, time is only a thought. Come to think of it, so is humanity. As humanity is a thought of the first thought thought by GOD IN A DOOR KNOB.

One only need place the hand on the Door Knob, turn to open the door. No Master Key needed as the door was never locked to begin with. What is behind the door is for your eyes only, sounds like a BOND movie doesn’t it?

Which brings me to the reason for this post, as the time, (HA HA HA), is right. Time to glimpse, GOD IN A DOOR KNOB.

 

 

 

Standing before the food pantry door planning a meal. I place my hand on the door knob turned it, and the door knob just spun in place. Trying it again had the same result, the door remained closed. My knowing that the ingredients for the meal was behind the door, I had to some how open the door to gather the ingredients. But How?

The GOD IN A DOOR KNOB had another idea. A test, if you will, to test my resolve.

In essence, the door was lock, however it wasn’t locked, if you catch my drift. Being the wise being that I AM. I devised a plan to open the door. I couldn’t take off the hinges, they where closed against the door jam. The door knob had the screws facing inside the door, sow it could not be removed from the outside.

Placing a Putty Knife between the door jam and the door, the tongue of GOD IN A DOOR KNOB was pushed back, the door pulled open. Opening the door I saw all the ingredients needed for the meal. Everything was there. I closed the door again, and realized, I needed another ingredient. Some might call this poor planning in a crisis situation. Yep, they would be right! However, I had the Master Key and knew how to use it. A Putty Knife.

While fixing the meal, my mental activity was working on a different plain, the door knob.

I could go buy a new one and replace the broken one. No…, I thought I would take this one apart and try to fix it. The strange thing is. The door knob always worked before and had worked earlier that day. What changed?  Why now did it just spin and not open the door?

What would cause this to happen at that given moment? What part in the door knob could fail, that would cause it to spin?

I removed the door knob, placing the pieces on the table. That’s when GOD IN A DOOR KNOB reveled it self to me.

Looking at the parts, I noticed markings on them. GV-1 and GV+2 along with different marks (<> – + (: . ; * c,

[y.1ou]), and others. Where these signs from GOD? Some might say these are manufactures marks, or maybe mold marks on the parts. There right! But, why these marks, and what do they mean? Is this GOD IN A DOOR KNOB showing me something I need to remember?

It makes sense to me, that we would place our hand on GOD every day of our lives, in this material world, without us ever knowing GOD opens the door. THE DOOR IS OPENED. However now, I know that GOD IN A DOOR KNOB is the answer to the question, I had for the longest time. Where is GOD?

Simple answer, GOD is in a door knob. Why wouldn’t he be? We touch GOD and open doors all the time never giving it another thought. God is in our hands, we turn GOD everyday to open doors. Some how the door always opens, until the time it doesn’t. GOD works in mysterious ways. Most at this point start asking GOD for help. Be-cause for some reason the door didn’t open.  What you thought it was you that created all this? Are the marks making any sense?

(GV-1) Yep! God Version One. God a bearded white man sitting on a cloud keeping a tally of all our sins. Repent or go to hell. Created everything. Sound familiar? But, he loves you, and wants you to worship/warship and serve him. He’s just a little busy right now because there are a lot of sins to tally. Be patient he will see you soon enough. Then again, he maybe busy, lots of prays to answer, blessing to bestow, and sinners to punish. It’s OK to worship GV-1, and the door knob continues to spin, while the door remains closed. Next time you want the door to open, place your hand on GOD IN A DOOR KNOB and ask GV-1 to open it for you. If the knob just spins, he is busy. Remember however, it’s not locked.

Sometimes we are handed a Master Key (Putty Knife), for a reason. He’s telling you to open the door for yourself. Get want you need, and leave me alone, I AM BUSY!

GV+2

(GV+2) (God Version Two) Is this just another version of the same GOD?

Well do you have another version of GOD you worship? Seems to me all religions have their version of GOD they want us to worship. Yet with a little study and self reflection one finds they are talking about the same thing only different. That same thing is the ALL. As it’s been said, GOD is everywhere and in everything. This means GOD is in you. Thus, you must be GOD, right?

It’s a trick question.

Be+cause, if I AM GOD, and I AM, I sure fucked things up! Plus, if I AM GOD, why am I worshiping something outside of myself? Yep! just like GOD IN A DOOR KNOB, I just keep spinning while the door remains closed.

There are very few beings that want to know the mysteries of Universe. Just to busy making a living. Focusing all their attentions on a single plain of existence. Those individuals that don’t care can stop reading here.

As there is nothing more you desire to remember. These will be just words, words, words… Have a nice day!

Those few that want to know GV+2, this post finds you at the right time to remember. To this inquiry you are now invited.

In GV+2, GOD IN A DOOR KNOB, I prefer to change the word GOD and the understanding of GOD. To a Word that best describes the unknowable. Since the unknowable is unknowable, the word I prefer is the “ALL”. Simply, can one know ALL?… Hence, the ALL is unknowable.

What we can do is catch a glimpse of the ALL, and remember.

This Hermetic teaching helped me to see, and remember. I will use it to describe the unknowable ALL. Is there any reason in recreating the wheel? Sow I quote. Well almost, after ALL this is GV+2.

THE ALL

“Under, and back of, the Universe of Time, Space and Change, is ever to be found. The Substantial Reality–the Fundamental Truth.”–

“Substance” means: “that which underlies all outward manifestations; the essence; the essential reality; the thing in itself,” etc. “Substantial” means: “actually existing; being the essential element; being real,” etc. “Reality” means: “the state of being real; true, enduring; valid; fixed; permanent; actual,” etc…

Under and behind all outward appearances or manifestations, there must always be a Substantial Reality. This is the Law.

Man considering the Universe, of which he is a unit, sees nothing but a change in matter, forces, and mental states. The three plains of 3D existence.  The holy trinity sow to speak.

He sees that nothing really IS, but that everything is BECOMING and CHANGING. Nothing stands still–everything is being born, growing, dying–the very instant a thing reaches its height, it begins to decline–the law of rhythm is in constant operation–there is no reality, enduring quality, fixity, or substantiality in anything–nothing is permanent but Change.

He sees all things evolving from other things, and resolving into other things–a constant action and reaction; inflow and outflow; building up and tearing down; creation and destruction; birth, growth and death. Nothing endures but Change. And if he be a thinking man, he realizes that all of these changing things must be, manifestations of some Underlying Power–some substantial Reality.

All thinkers, in all lands, in all times, have assumed the necessity for postulating the existence of this Substantial Reality. All philosophies worthy of the name have been based upon this thought. Men have given to this Substantial Reality many names–some have called it by the term of Deity (under many titles, GV-1); others have called it “The Infinite and Eternal Energy”; others have tried to call it “Matter”–but all, thus far, have acknowledged its existence. GOD IN A DOOR KNOB.

It is self-evident–it needs no argument. Truth is Truth.

We have followed the example of some of the world’s greatest thinkers, both ancient and modern–the Hermetic Masters–and have called this Underlying Power–this Substantial Reality, by the Hermetic name of “THE ALL,” which term we consider the most comprehensive of the many terms applied by Man to THAT which transcends names and terms.

We accept, thus teach the view of the great Hermetic thinkers of all times, as well as of those illumined souls who have reached higher planes of being, both of whom assert that the inner nature of THE ALL is UNKNOWABLE. This must be so, for naught by THE ALL itself can comprehend its own nature and being.

The Hermetists believe and teach that THE ALL, “in itself,” is and must ever be UNKNOWABLE. They regard all the theories, guesses and speculations of the theologians and metaphysicians regarding the inner nature of THE ALL, as childish efforts of mortal minds trying to grasp the secret of the Infinite. Such efforts have always failed, will always fail, from the very nature of the task

One pursuing such inquiries travels around and around in the labyrinth of thought, until he is lost to all sane reasoning, action, or conduct, is utterly unfitted for the work of life. He is like the squirrel which frantically runs around and around the circling treadmill wheel of his cage, traveling ever, yet reaching nowhere–at the end a prisoner still, and standing just where he started.

Still more presumptuous are those who attempt to ascribe to THE ALL the personality, qualities, properties, characteristics and attributes of themselves, ascribing to THE ALL The human emotions, feelings, and characteristics, even down to the pettiest qualities of mankind, such as jealousy, susceptibility to flattery and praise, desire for offerings and worship, and all the other survivals from the days of the childhood of the human race.

Such ideas are not worthy of grown men and women, and are rapidly being discarded. (At this point, it may be proper for me to state that we make a distinction between Religion and Theology–between Philosophy and Metaphysics.

Religion, to us, means that intuitional realization of the existence of THE ALL, and one’s relationship to it; while Theology means the attempts of men to ascribe personality, qualities, and characteristics to it; their theories regarding its affairs, will, desires, plans, and designs; and their assumption of the office of “middle-men” between THE ALL and the people.

Philosophy, to us, means the inquiry after knowledge of things knowable, unknown, and thinkable; while Metaphysics attempts to carry the inquiry over and beyond the boundaries, into regions unknowable and unthinkable, and with the same tendency as that of Theology.

Consequently, both Religion and Philosophy mean to us, things having roots in Reality, while Theology and Metaphysics seem like broken reeds, rooted in the quicksands of ignorance, and affording naught but the most insecure support for the mind or soul of Man.

At any rate, you shall hear very little about Theology and Metaphysics in, GOD IN A DOOR KNOB.While the essential nature of THE ALL is Unknowable, there are certain truths connected with its existence which the human mind finds compelled to accept. In the examination of these reports form a proper subject of inquiry, particularly as they agree with the reports of the Illumined on higher planes.

“THAT which is the Fundamental Truth–the Substantial Reality–is beyond true naming, Wise Men call it THE ALL. “–

“In its Essence, THE ALL is UNKNOWABLE.”–“But, the report reasoned on must be hospitably received, and treated with respect.”–

The human Reason, whose reports we must accept so long as we think at all, informs us as follows regarding THE ALL, and without attempting to remove the veil of the Unknowable is as follows:

(1). THE ALL must be ALL that REALLY IS. There can be nothing existing outside of THE ALL, else THE ALL would not be THE ALL.

(2.) THE ALL must be INFINITE, for is nothing else to define, confine, bound, limit or restrict THE ALL. It must be Infinite in Time, or ETERNAL,–it must have always continuously existed, for there is nothing else to have ever created it, something can never evolve from nothing, if it had ever “not been,” even for a moment, it would not “be” now,–it must continuously exist forever, for there is nothing to destroy it, it can never “not-be,” even for a moment, because something can never become nothing.

It must be Infinite in Space–it must be everywhere, for there is no place outside of THE ALL–it cannot be otherwise, than continuous in Space, without break, cessation, separation, or interruption, for there is nothing to break, separate, or interrupt its continuity, and nothing with which to “fill in the gaps.” It must be Infinite in Power, Absolute, for there is nothing to limit, restrict, restrain, confine, disturb or condition it–it is subject to no other Power, for there is no other Power.

(3.) THE ALL must be IMMUTABLE, not subject to change in its real nature, for there is nothing to work changes upon it; nothing into which it could change, nor from which it could have changed. It cannot be added to nor subtracted from; increased nor diminished; nor become greater or lesser in any respect whatsoever.

It must have always been, and must always remain, just what it is now–THE ALL–there has never been, is not now, and never will be, anything else into which it can change.

THE ALL being Infinite, Absolute, Eternal and Unchangeable. It must follow that anything finite, changeable, fleeting, and conditioned cannot be THE ALL. And as there is Nothing outside of THE ALL, in Reality, therefore, any and all such finite things must be as Nothing in Reality.

Now do not become befogged, nor frightened–not trying to lead you into the Christian Science field under cover of Hermetic Philosophy. There is a Reconciliation of this apparently contradictory state of affairs. Be patient, we will reach it in time.

We see around us that which is called “Matter,” which forms the physical foundation for all forms.

Is THE ALL merely Matter? Not at all! Matter cannot manifest Life or Mind, and as Life and Mind are manifested in the Universe, THE ALL cannot be only Matter, for nothing rises higher than its own source–nothing is ever manifested in an effect that is not in the cause– nothing is evolved as a consequent that is not involved as an antecedent.

And Modern Science informs us that there is really no such thing as Matter–that what we call Matter is merely “interrupted energy or force,” that is, energy or force at a low rate of vibration. As a recent writer has said “Matter has melted into Mystery.”

Even Material Science has abandoned the theory of Matter, and now rests on the basis of “Energy.”

Then is THE ALL mere Energy or Force? Not Energy or Force as the materialists use the terms, for their energy and force are blind, mechanical things, devoid of Life or Mind. Life and Mind can never evolve from blind Energy or Force, for the reason given a moment ago:

“Nothing can rise higher than its source–nothing is evolved unless it is involved–nothing manifests in the effect, unless it is in the cause.” And so THE ALL cannot be mere Energy or Force, for, if it were there, there would be no such things as Life and Mind in existence, we know better than that, for we are Alive and using Mind to consider this very question, so are those who claim that Energy or Force is Everything.

What is there then higher than Matter or Energy that we know to be existent in the Universe?

LIFE AND MIND! Life and Mind in all their varying degrees of unfoldment!

“Then, you ask”, “do you mean to tell us that THE ALL is LIFE and MIND?” Yes! and No! is our answer. If you mean Life and Mind as we poor petty mortals know them, we say No! THE ALL is not that! “But what kind of Life and Mind do you mean?” you ask?”.

The answer is “LIVING MIND”,  far above that which mortals know by those words, as Life and Mind are higher than mechanical forces, or matter…

INFINITE LIVING MIND as compared to finite Life and Mind.” We mean that which the illumined souls mean, when they reverently pronounce the word: “SPIRIT!”

“THE ALL” is Infinite Living Mind–the Illumined call it SPIRIT!

Well there you have it. GOD IN A DOOR KNOB. Remember, this is only a glimpse… Personally, I could care less as to which Version of GOD you prefer, as life is a personal journey.

GV-1 or GV+2 is GOD IN A DOOR KNOB. Simply, opposite sides of the same Door Knob. On opposite sides of the door.

NOW OPEN THE DOOR!!!

I have come to the realization that we are ALL, just a thought of the thought of the ALL Living Mind. Which of course is the ALL. Or another innerstanding of the concept… Time.

In case you were wondering… I put the door knob back on the door, this time with the screws facing out. Now, the door is always open. I put the Master Key back in the tool box. Don’t need the key if the door is always open.
